LAMDA (The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) is one of the most prestigious Drama schools in the world.
It offers practical examinations in communication and performance subjects. LAMDA qualifications have helped hundreds of thousands of candidates of all ages and abilities to develop lifelong skills.
LAMDA exams are about achievement – recognising and rewarding the endeavours of each individual – but also about empowerment and developing self-confidence and the ability to clearly present ideas to an audience.
LAMDA is QCA (Qualifications and Curriculum Authority) accredited and those pupils who reach Bronze Medal or above, are awarded UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admissions Service) points towards university entry. The communication techniques inherent in LAMDA practice are extremely beneficial when attending interviews for university or future job interviews.
LAMDA lessons are taught in Acting, Mime, Shakespeare, Reading for Performance, Devised Drama, Verse & Prose and Public Speaking. Preparation for these exams, during lessons, involves vocal training, diction, enunciation, expression, modulation and voice control. I am committed to ensuring that every pupil reaches their highest potential within the LAMDA framework.
In addition to LAMDA exams, for which there is an additional charge, there are opportunities to perform at local LAMDA Festivals in front of an audience, thus developing their confidence and valuable experience.
